Republic of South Sudan, Z81X

A multinational group of Dietmar, DL3DXX; Wayne, N7NG; Hans, PB2T; Olli, OH0XX; Martti, OH2BH; Pertti, OH2PM and Veijo, OH6KN and Tevfik, TA1HZ (team doctor) will be in Juba, South Sudan from November 14 to 28, 2013 and will activate Z81X with an emphasis on low bands, 160m and 80m. The period includes the CQWW CW contest with some single-band entries and low-band SSB focus during the contest weekend. EUDXF Life Members at Tokyo Hamfair

While the AGM took place in Bad-Bentheim your President met with two of our four Japanese Life members at the Tokyo Hamfair. Our newest Life Member Martti OH2BH was also spotted at the Hamfair. Martti is in the Yaesu stand handing out memorial cards in honor to his farewell for DXpeditioning after 50-years of service. I can’t believe this is his last farewell. Martti we are proud to have you as EUDXF Life Member.

9G5AA – Ghana

I hope EUDXF Members will find it interesting to hear about my IARU activities in Ghana Introduction: Amateur Radio Administration Courses (ARACs) have been offered in developing countries for more than twenty years. IARU has provided instructors and course material. Prior to 1983 and again from 1999 the ITU has co-sponsored these courses in developing countries. Host countries provide the training facility and local support. IARU has been looking for an opportunity to organize an ARAC in the English speaking part of Africa for several years. 1A0C – Sovereign Military Order of Malta.

Thirty years have passed since 1A made its way onto the DXCC list. And an activation by an International team looks to celebrate the uniqueness of this event. So, from the 1st to the 4th July, we will listen them on the air as 1A0C from Santa Maria del Priorato, home of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. The callsign that will be used belongs to the “The Order of Malta’s Italian Relief Corps (CISOM)”, an organization specialized in bringing assistance and relief during emergencies.
