The EUDXF supports the October 2020 Sable Island CY0C DXpedition

The EUDXF Board is happy to announce that the EUDXF will support the October 2020 Sable Island CY0C DXpedition. A very experienced team will travel to Sable Island CY0C in october this year. Team members are Murray WA4DAN – Team Leader, Bob K4UEE, San K5YY, Will AA4NC, Jay K4ZLE, John N8AA, Pat N2IEN, Lee WW2DX, Dan W4DKS and Lou N2TU. Currently Sable CY0 is ranked #56 on Clublog, but more notably in Europe, Sable is ranked #41 on CW and #16 on digital. W8S – SWAINS2020 – POSTPONED

We received the following from the Swains2020 team: Swains2020 W8S Breaking News: In close cooperation with Alex Jennings, the representative of Swains Island, the team has decided to postpone the W8S DXpedition to Swains Island to autumn of 2020. The reason behind this postponement is the travel restrictions when entering American Samoa, restrictions imposed by the Department of Health of American Samoa as a result of the Corona virus outbreak. The Department of Health allows non-residents to enter American Samoa only via Hawaii, after a 14 days mandatory quarantine in Hawaii. For the team this is not a workable situation…. Alex 5B4ALX shares the following information with us: Hi dear, I would like to inform you of some news on T30ET. Air Solomon informed me on Friday about the cancellation of my return flight from Tarawa to Solomon then Brisbane in the reason of changing the weekly day of the flight (only one flight per week lands), proposing to bring forward to March 31st instead of April 2nd. After a careful economic and impact assessment on the activities, I decided to postpone the return to April 7th. Thanks to the CTDXCC

The EUDXF is grateful for the financial support we received this week from the CTDXCC Central Texas DX and Contest Club. Their donation provides us with additional possibilities to support DXpeditions and other DX related projects. The Central Texas DX and Contest Club has about 150 members worldwide and locally have about 40 members who attend meetings regularly.  The members consist of some of the best DX’ers and Contesters in the World.  The website lists all members and for sure you will recognize a number of them.  The CTDXCC website is: www.ctdxcc.org.
