Jan DJ5AN receives the Yasme Excellence award

Please join us in congratulating Jan DJ5AN as recipient of the Yasme Excellence award http://www.yasme.org/yasme-excellence-awards/  in recognition of his efforts organizing ham radio events. For many years Jan organizes the Dutch HF Convention and the annual European DX Foundation meeting in Bad Bentheim Germany. Jan also runs the EUDXF booth at Ham Radio in Friedrichshafen. Together with other DX associations he invented and shaped the “DX Plaza” that is now the central meeting point for DX-ers present in Friedrichshafen. EUDXF supports the 3Y0J Bouvet Island DXpedition

EUDXF Board Elections coming up

Three years have passed which means EUDXF Board elections will be held during the upcoming annual meeting, August 27, 2022 in Bad Bentheim. As the rules of the foundation prescribe, all members may propose candidates. In order to ensure that the procedures surrounding the board elections run smoothly, these proposals must be in the possession of the board by 1 June 2022 at the latest via office@eudxf.eu  

4U1ITU back on the air

You may have worked 4U1ITU recently or you may have seen some 4U1ITU cluster spots. The operation is real and the station will be on the air until 3 June. After a two year lock down, the ITU building in Geneva is back in business. Currently a series of meetings of Study Group 4 (satellites) and 5 (terrestrial and amateur) Working Parties takes place. The two year lockdown has not been good for equipment and antennas. Lots of technical issues had/have to be solved.
