A summary of the opening speech by EUDXF President Gerben PG5M during the 2025 AGM held in Bad Bentheim August 30th, 2025:
On the membership side we sadly had three members that passed away in 2024. New members (including two life-members) came from The Netherlands, Germany, Finland, France, USA, Mexico and Brazil.
The number of non-paying members is still a concern, and we ask again to pay your yearly membership-fee.
Since 2024 we have increased the frequency of our newsletters and are now publishing 6 per year.
EUDXF was present again at Ham Radio 2025 in Friedrichshafen where we had many nice meetings with members/friends and meeting the people behind the DXpeditions. This year we had presentation from EUDXF sponsored DXpeditions: 3D2Y, VP6G, ZS8W, V73WW and VU4AX which were attended by a good number of interested people.
The traditional EUDXF dinner was well attended but this time at Asia World Friedrichshafen. All attendees were very positive about this new restaurant and the excellent food. This will be the location also for next year.
The eudxf.eu web site is our external communication channel which recently had some layout changes. Over the last 12 months we had 7,221 visitors from 174 countries. Our member gallery shows 57 members (permission is needed from the member to be listed). We are also present on Facebook with 1,200 followers.
We have 118 participants in our EUDXF WhatsApp group and new participants joining every month.
During November 2024 we had our 38EUDXF Activity Month that resulted in 60,000 QSO’s with 148 awards requested. Also, in November 2025 we will have our 39EUDXF Activity Month.
