F3AT 100th birthday

Join me in congratulating Ivan F3AT with his 100th birthday on 7 April. With 388 DXCC entities confirmed (deleted included) he is one of the leading DX-ers. It seems that chasing DX keeps him young. Ivan has also been on the other side of the pile-up operating from French Equatorial Africa as FQ3AT, French Cameroon as FQ3AT/FE, Cameroon as FE3AB and French West Africa as FF8AG. Note the EUDXF Membership Certificate on the right.

Cote d’Ivoire activity.

Between 17 and 30 November 2013 Chris F4WBN, Jan DJ8NK and Paul F6EXV will operate from just outside Abidjan as TU5AX, TU5NK and TU5XV. This activity will assist the revival of TU2CI, the radio club of Ivory Coast that was totally destroyed during the civil war in 2010. The team plans to donate radio equipment and antennas to the club and they will assist the club with the installation and train the club members to use the equipment. The extra effort that the team puts into their activity is a good reason for EUDXF and myself to support this expedition.
